# Renew, cancel or change plan

> How ZealDen plans renew, how lifetime plans differ, how to cancel or change plan, and what happens to your key when a plan ends.

## Yearly plans renew every year

Every yearly plan, the bundle included, is a yearly subscription, billed by Polar at the same price, plus any sales tax or VAT, until you cancel. Plugins bought together in one checkout share one subscription, with a key for each plugin.

- **Polar emails you 7 days before each renewal**, unless you've already cancelled.
- Each renewal extends the **same key on the same sites** by another year.
- **My Account › Licenses** shows "Renews automatically on" and the date.
- Change the card you pay with in Polar's customer portal (below).

## Lifetime plans don't renew

A lifetime plan is paid once. Its key never expires, and it gets updates and support for as long as we sell the plugin, so there's nothing to renew or cancel. **My Account › Licenses** shows it as **Never expires**. A lifetime plan is bought in its own checkout, not with yearly plans.

## Cancel

1. Sign in at store.zealden.com and open **My Account › Subscriptions**, then choose **Manage**. Or open the order from your order email and choose **Manage subscription**.
2. Polar's customer portal opens.
3. Cancel the subscription there.

Cancelling stops the next charge. Your key keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for; the license is never cut short. From then on you get the usual reminder emails before the key expires.

## When a plan ends

The plugin keeps working on every site. Updates and support stop, and the plugin's License card shows **Expired** with a **Renew** link. To pick up again, choose **Renew** under **My Account › Licenses**, or in the plugin's License card. Renewing keeps the same key on the same sites.

## Changing how many sites your plan covers

To move between the 1, 5 and 25-site plans, email [support@zealden.com](mailto:support@zealden.com) with your order number and the plan you want. We'll tell you what the change costs before we make it. Then we change the plan on your subscription and your key's site limit, usually within two working days.

Your key stays the same, and so do the sites it's already active on. Moving to a smaller plan needs enough free seats first: [remove the sites you no longer need](/docs/your-license/move-a-key/).

## Changing the plugins in a subscription

To drop or add a plugin, cancel the subscription and choose again at renewal, or contact support. A plugin you add mid-year can also be bought on its own.
